Conductive fabrics and fleeces

 

The in-house production of our fabric seals means that we have a wide range of different technical fabrics and fleece types which we can supply exclusively for refinishing.

 

Individual specifications

Our fabrics and fleeces are generally polyester fabric. Depending on your requirements, we can supply the material with a range of metal coatings. Copper, nickel, tin or a range of combinations are all possible. The fabrics are drawn with various (metal) baths and completely saturated. This makes the fabric and fleece fully conductive
In addition you can choose from a range of densities and weaves.

Our fabrics and fleeces can be fitted with conductive or non-conductive adhesive to suit your needs and supplied on rolls or cut to customer-specified dimensions.

The conductive fabric and fleece can also be stamped or otherwise finished to customers' specifications for special applications.

 

Features

Conductive fabric and fleece provide excellent shielding effectiveness. Since this is very lightweight and high strength material, it also features extremely high flexibility.

 

Typical applications of fabrics and fleeces

 

Fabrics and fleeces are primarily used where the trouble-free operation of sensitive electronic devices and measuring equipment must be guaranteed. They may be used for the following purposes:

  • to shield curved housing surfaces by cladding the internal walls.
  • to shield monitors with transparent fabric.
  • to shield private and industrial rooms by covering the walls (for example rooms for pre-compliance measurements, rooms containing medical equipment, etc.).
  • for finishing shielding tents which are required, for example, for testing electronic devices.
  • as a base material for EMC casing.
  • as protection curtains in areas subject to strong EMC radiation.
  • as protective casing and packaging for particularly sensitive equipment.
  • to prevent listening devices working in specific rooms.
  • to protect electronic components from electrostatic discharge (ESD) by low ohm connection.

The fabrics and fleeces comply with the statutory RoHS regulations as do all of our other products.
