Electrically conductive paint
The use of plastic housings and plastic components is widely spread in all kinds of industries. To fullfil the requirements concerning the limits of immunity and emission to interference, those housings and components needs to get fully or selectively electrically conductive coated.
Normal processes to achieve this are galvanic surface treatment, vacuum disposit or spray coating with electrically conductive paint (wet paint).
Very effective is the use of electrically conductive paint.
Those paints are solvent based or water based paints that contains electrically conductive particles.
The industry offers electrically conductive paints starting from nickel or aluminium paint in aerosol cans up to superior paints filled with pure silver particles.

Our offer is focused on superior highly conductive paints using following fillers (particles): Some advantages of using electrically conductive paints are:

Unfortunately not every plastic is the same. With the variety of plastics and plastic blends it is necessary to test the adhesion of the electrically conductive paint on the substrate.
As an inimitable service to our customers we offer them to send the substrate that needs to get painted to us. In a laboratory those substrates will be applied with the suggested conductive paint. Following that process the substrate will be tested to the achievements of adhesion, surface resistivity and dry film thickness of the paint. Those measurements will then be supplied back to the customer together with the coated substrate.
MTC offers a big variety of electrically conductive paints, however following eight products developed to a sort of standard:

- CP5150-XX Filler: silver and silver platted copper particles
- CP5151-XX Filler: silver plated copper particles
- CP5152-XX Filler: silver plated copper and passivated copper particles
- CP5155-XX Filler: silver plated copper particles
- CP5156-XX Filler: silver and silver platted copper particles
- CP5198-XX Filler: pure silver particles
