Thermally conductive paste, gap pads and dispensable gap fillers are used between processors and heat sinks, especially in high-end game consoles, to effectively dissipate waste heat. The thermally conductive materials compensate the surface roughness of the two contact partners. Air pockets can thus be minimized and the heat flow significantly improved.

Metal parts such as contact springs then ensure that the heat sinks are pressed onto the TIM material with sufficient force and thus also onto the processor, because the heat flow is significantly influenced by the transfer resistance at the contact points. In general, the transfer resistance can be reduced with higher contact pressure.

In recent years, VR glasses have additionally found their place in the field of consumer electronics. Since the glasses must not become too heavy and large, the integrated technology must be placed in the smallest possible space. To ensure that the components contained therein do not interfere with each other, board level shields offer a suitable solution variant for interference suppression. The shields, which are available in several variants, can be soldered onto printed circuit boards in a fully automated process using reflow soldering.

Due to the risk of falling and the very fast movements during gaming, the VR glasses have to withstand high forces, which is why the entire system must have a high level of strength. With the help of SMD fasteners, which are also soldered directly onto circuit boards using the SMT process, the components can be permanently and reliably fastened with the help of the integrated thread.
