Overview Die-casted acrylic window
Specifications
Contrary to the manufacturing process of fully laminated substrates in this version the mesh is mounted in a mould. The mould will then be filled with liquid plastic.
The phenomenon of the so-called moire applies here as well. It can be solved by mounting the mesh not in an angle of 90° but i.e. in an angle of 15°; 30° or 45°.
The electrically conductive mesh does not stand over the edge at this product. The single wires on the edge of the window serve as contact points.
To get a contact from the edge to the surface of the window, silver busbar is applied. The contact to the cabinet or the display frame is implemented by a conductive gasket.
Product properties
- Maximum size of the sheet: 1200 x 700 mm
- Range of temperature for cast glass: - 40°C to + 70 ° C
- Standard material thickness: 1,5 – 2,0 – 2,5 – 3,0 and 4,0 mm
- Tolerance of material thickness: ± 0,2 mm
Construction of the window
We differentiate two types of construction:
In this case a window with given outside dimension will be cutted out and silver busbar will be applied from the edge to one side of the window (on request silver busbar can be applied to both sides of the window).
Step edge construction
In this case the first step is to cut out the outside dimension of the window. Then the step will be machined and a silver busbar will be applied from the edge to the surface of the step.
Types of meshes
Two types of meshes are available:
- Plain stainless steel
wire Ø: 0,025 mm
100 opi (openings per inch)
- Blackened stainless steel
wire Ø: 0,025 mm
100 opi (openings per inch)
Antireflection
- Multi-layer coating according to MIL SPEC 675 B (less than 0,6% rest of reflection)
- Anti scratch-, anti-reflection coating
- Diffusion influenceable by thickness of the coating
