Heat conductor and EMI absorber
The TCMWA series is an addition to our product portfolio of thermally conductive materials, which in addition to thermal conductivity also offers a significant improvement in electromagnetic compatibility. The fillers of the pad enable both EMI suppression and increased thermal conductivity, making it a hybrid product consisting of classic gap pad material as well as components that have absorbent proberties.
Interface between hot spot and heat sink
Thermally conductive EMI absorbers, like other thermal management products, are used between the heat source (hot spot) and the cooling surface (heat sink or metal enclosure) and, in addition to conducting thermal heat, also serve to suppress electromagnetic radiation, thereby reducing problems of the device.
Application examples and material properties
Applications for the thermally conductive EMI absorbers include 5G systems, satellite systems, IOT systems and telecommunications systems. The material is suitable for a wide range of applications and can be supplied as a standard sheet or custom die-cut part.
The TCMWA series is available in material thicknesses from 0,5 to 12 mm.
The formulation of thermally conductive EMI absorbers is halogen-free, and compliant and meets the UL94-V0 requirements.
